Red passion - lipstick collection

Immagine
If you are not a makeup enthusiast, this post may result nonsensical to you. If you are the type of person like my boyfriend, you can't simply conceive more than just one shade of red. A deep red? A blue-toned red? An orange toned red? What the hell are those?  But if you love makeup as I do, you know that, especially speaking about red lipsticks, there are so many shades that are so different but at the same time essential to our collections! Because, depending on the occasion, you will need a different kind of red..For example I tend to go for the more sheer ones in the daytime whilst the matte, very bold ones I prefer for the evenings. I decided to make this post because, in my opinion, there's no makeup product with such a high impact and power as a RED LIPSTICK. Total black outfit may result boring - add a red lipstick and BOOM, it's chic! Have a messy bun and casual outfit which makes you feel like a runaway? Add a red lip and you are instantly sexy.. I d

3 ZOELLA PRODUCTS - REVIEW

Immagine
Maybe you guys still don't know, but I'm the perfect example of what a sucker for nice packaging means: if something has a nice packaging, there's a very high percentage of probability of me buying it, even if it contains sh*t.. That's the first thing that intrigued me about Zoella's beauty products: they are objectively VERY PRETTY.  I love each and every single product design I see online, but for now I've just tried 3 products, which I'm going to tell you more about. Maybe I should add that ZOELLA, for those of you who don't know or aren't devoted Youtube users, is a youtube star, has almost 12 billion subscribers on her channel, 3 books, a beauty and a lifestyle range, etc.. In short words she is very popular on the web and, since her products aren't available where I live, a friend of mine who lives in England kindly gifted them to me, so I could try them.   So let's begin, shall we? THE BATH LATTE Can we just tak

How to look stylish on a budget

I don't know about you, but I think that in many cases, those who have lots of money are far away from being stylish. Most of the times I just find that they are putting togheter very expensive items and the ending result it's confusing, kitch and ugly. That's why I think that you can always buy fashion, but style it's something you can't: you just own it or not.  Since I'm not a billionaire, I try to add my own touch of style with little things which aren't necessarily expensive but they add a little "somethin' somethin'" to my outfits in order to make them more pulled toghether.  So here are my 10 tips on HOW TO LOOK STYLISH ON A BUDGET: 1) BE CREATIVE! Add fun accessories to your outfits: most of our looks can result pretty boring, especially if you tend to be quite minimal as I am. When you have a plain outfit, without colours, textures or patterns going on, you can always play it cool with accessories. Here are some exam

10 beauty mistakes you might be making!

Taking care of our skin is something that can often be a pain in the neck: you're too buzy, can't be bothered, don't have time, you're exhausted etc. Any excuse will do.Well, maybe for now you have a good looking skin and you don't think that skipping your skincare could have any consequences: WRONG. With the coming years, your skin will probably start to show up the first alarm signs and you will most likely be regretting not taking good care of your skin in the present! I made a list of 10 mistakes I often see people making with their skincare routines and hopefully this will be helpful for many of you reading this :) 1) NOT EXFOLIATING  Exfoliating it's a very important step to take in your skincare routine because it helps expose that glowy skin that resides under the surface by removing dead skin cells. I mean, who wants dead skin cells hanging out on them anyway? And a good exfoliation routine is the best way to prep your skin for thos

KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow - REVIEW

Immagine
Today I wanted to bring you a review on the KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow.  As you may know, KIKO is an Italian makeup brand which has a wide variety of makeup and skincare at very affordable prices. It is known to have an excellent value for money and it's becoming more and more popular in the makeup industry, at the level of many other popular brands.  This cream eyeshadow range has 16 shades to choose from and I own 3 of them, the colours I thought I'd use the most. The eyeshadow's formula is very creamy, silky to the touch. They blend like a dream, the pigmentation is really nice and buildable and once they set on the eyelid, they last for a very long time. On the KIKO website they claim that the product lasts up to 10 hours: I dindn't try them for as long because I never stay with makeup on for so many hours, but I can surely tell that they last  pretty well for 5-6 hours. To apply the product I usually use a flat brush (just because I pe

Today we talk about fashion. Or more accurately, about style, which I think it's a completely different thing.  I don't have fashion studies, I'm not an expert and most likely there are tons of people whose style is way prettier than mine. However, without hopefully not offending anyone, I do think I have a pretty good style in my opinion and do my best to highlight my body pros without being raunchy.  I would define my style as minimal-chic: I like being comfortable but also look put togheter at the same time. I usually prefer clean cuts, I like mixing them with girlier items, throwing more statement pieces at times in order not to fall into banality .  Remember that LESS IS MORE and semplicity is beautiful.  I like my neutrals, I hardly ever wear colours because I don't feel very confident wearing them, even though I sometimes feel more daring and experiment with new shades/prints.  As for my body type, I've always been quite curvy, definetely not a

My current makeup favs

Trying new makeup products is my favourite thing in the entire world!  This is one of the reasons I decided to start a blog. I like sharing things I love but, sharing my negative experiences as well will hopefully help some of you in choosing the right products.  Today I'm gonna share with you some makeup products I keep coming back to, no matter what. Hope you enjoy them, let me know which are your favourites as well :) BASE - Blanc Universel de Chanel Sheer Illuminator This product unfortunately has been discontinued and replaced by Blanc universal base (which I haven't tried). I really like it because, especially on hot summer days, it makes my makeup last so much longer and my skin looks like porcelain. Has a very nice subtle scent.   FOUNDATION - LANCOME TEINT IDOLE ULTRA  I like this foundation because it glides on the skin, it's so easy to blend with a kabuki brush when I don't have much time and has a nice glowing finish which makes my skin

AVEDA Enbrightenment skincare range

Today I wanted to bring you my review on the AVEDA Enbrightenment skincare range. Actually I just have the sample sizes of the products, but since I've already seen results just by using them, I decided to share with you my opinion. This range is supposed to brighten and even the skin tone as well as increasing surface cell turnover. I started to use these products about 2 weeks ago just at night and I was very pleasantly surprised by the results: I wasn't expecting them to show as quickly as they did but these products are really good! I have normal skin with a slightly oilier nose at times, especially if I wear makeup for a long time during the day. My issue has always been hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone around the nose and lips area. I always had a red nose with slightly large pores and yellowish color around the lips so I decided to try and fix the problem. First of all I use the AVEDA Brightening cleanser to remove impurities and clean the skin. If
